Daiwa Saltiga Bay Jigging Spinning Reel
The smallest models of Daiwa's flagship saltwater spinning reels, the Saltiga Bay Jigger utilizes the ultimate of Daiwa's reel technology. Featuring 13 ball-bearings ( 2 Mag-Sealed, 9 Corrosion Resistant, 1 BB and 1 Roller-Bearing) this reel is one of the most free-spinning reels in existence while still maintaining a high level of water resistance. This is due in part to Daiwa's Mag-Seal technology as well as the breakthrough Monocoque Body which uses an aluminium body with a one-piece threaded side plate. Screws are not necessary to attach the sideplate and hold the main gear, creating increased interior space in the body compared to reels of a similar size, allowing for a larger more powerful gear held in place by the lighter, sturdier body. The largest gear features Daiwa's Hyper Digigear tooled out of high-strength marine brass to round out the long-term durability of the reel.
