Penn Fathom II Level Wind Conventional Star Drag Reels
The Penn Fathom II Level Wind's heavy duty construction and powerful gears make it a true workhorse and favorite of charter boat Captains. It is designed to handle extreme abuse day-in and day-out. Whether bottom-fishing or casting live bait, the Fathom II will stand up to the hardest fishing conditions. A full metal body maintains precise gear alignment under load and the Fast Gear Access sideplate allows for easy maintenance. The Fathom II also houses Penn's powerful HT-100 drag system to stop any fish that bites. "LW" models feature right hand retrieves with no line counters, "LWLH" models have left hand retrieves with no line counters, "LWLC" models have right hand retrieves and line counters, and "LWLCLH" models have left hand retrieves and line counters.

Get your reel professionally spooled for the cost of the line only. Choose from two options for straight braid spooling:

Order the required braid from our Braided Line Per-Yard page (we’ll refund any overage).

Contact us with your spool specs, and we’ll guide you on the exact braid quantity to order.
If your braid order doesn't fully fill the spool, we’ll back it with the appropriate sized line at no extra cost. For custom spooling big game reels with leaders, knots, crimps, or splices, contact us—if you can dream it, we can rig it!
