The GLANZ models were designed with three elements in mind…

• Ease of Casting: When casting weights between 100g and 2000g repeatedly, a finely tuned blank is essential. GLANZ rods possess a supple yet muscular blank that is able to store energy deep in its core and release it with explosive force. This release of energy drives massive lures further with each cast. This is done all while distributing the load across the entire blank to reduce strain while casting. 
• Precise Control: The GLANZ blanks are able to balance flexibility with a responsive snap-back which allows the angler to cut through the water resistance brought on by the use of oversized lures. Regardless of the weight of the lure, the angler is able to control its action with extreme finesse. This allows for the use of any desired movement ranging from a slow, deliberate crawl to a sharp, aggressive retrieve. 
• Secure Hooksets: Although many believe a stiff rod is the only option for this caliber of fishing, the GLANZ provides a different perspective. Where many of the stiff rods result in missed hooksets, the GLANZ is able to deliver an exceptional hookup performance with its flexible, yet firm blank. This results in less missed bites, less lost fish, and a more efficient landing of the fish. 

In addition to these qualities, the GLANZ models come equipped with a multitude of features to improve your fishing experience. The rods possess a guide layout deliberately designed to reduce line trouble like backlashes and wrapped tips. The ultra-dense EVA foam grips maximizes the transfer of energy for each cast. Each rod has a leash cord ready metal sleeve on the handle. In the off chance that a backlash does occur while casting heavy lures, attaching a leash cord will help to prevent the rod from being ripped out of your hands by the weight of the lure being cast. A balancing ring and rigid end cap help to maintain the rod’s balance and casting efficiency. The lighter weight models (GB73-X5 / GB67-X10 / GB84-X10) have a cork cap while the heavier models (GB80-X20 / GB78-X78) possess the high-strength rubber cap.

GB73-X5 “BLACK OUT”

The BLACK OUT is the perfect starting point for anglers new to swimbait fishing, and a go-to choice for veteran anglers. Based off of the GLANZ B73 Circular, this model has been fully reimagined to meet the demands of today’s anglers. The BLACK OUT is able to cast a wide range of lures ranging from 30 to 200 grams, and it has become the standard rod for fishing with 9 inch, 100 gram class swimbaits. It is able to accommodate glide bait, stickbaits, and even Alabama rigs.The BLACK OUT displays a hybrid guide system tuned for both monofilament and PE lines to maximize casting with monofilament and reduce slack line issues with braid. GB67-X10 “FLASH BANG”

The FLASH BANG is a PE exclusive rod designed with precision and control in mind. Its compact design and balance delivers unmatched connection to your lure with each motion of the rod. The FLASH BANG provides sharp action at full-cast distances, subtle manipulation in close quarters, and seamless rod control when there is limited deck space. The flexible, sturdy blank allows an explosive cast with even a 300 gram lure while also being capable of handling lighter, follow-up lures with great control. Its PE exclusive guide system significantly reduces tip wrapping and backlash. The FLASH BANG is a model at the heart of swimbait fishing.  

GB84-X10 “UTOPIAN BLUSTER”

The UTOPIAN BLUSTER is a PE exclusive rod with land based fishing in mind. Its design allows exceptional casting distance from 100 to 300 grams. The blank loads deep to produce its reliable, long range casts all while maintaining a high degree of responsiveness and control. The UTOPIAN BLUSTER’s guide system reduces the instance of common PE line issues like backlashes and tip wraps. This model is the only 50/50 split in the GLANZ lineup to allow for the mobility that a land based angler needs. The UTOPIAN BLUSTER is the ideal swimbait rod for the land based angler who desires long range casting without compromising lure control. 

GB80-X20 “LAPUA MAGNUM”

The LAPUA MAGNUM is a genuine, heavyweight swimbait rod. Its design allows 300 gram swimbaits to be cast with ease and worked as if the lure were twice as light. The sluggishness that is common for rods of this caliber is entirely absent. During a fight, the blank flexes in a way so that it responds to shifts in tension and prevents the loss of a fish. The LAPUA MAGNUM displays incredible versatility as it is also able to cast lures as light as 50 grams with just as much control and precision as a lure six times the weight. It has a versatile guide system that accommodates monofilament and PE lines. If you can only carry one rod, the LAPUA MAGNUM is able to cover a broad range of situations without compromise. 

GB78-X78 “SUPER BONKER”

To meet the demands of anglers who use oversized baits, ZENAQ tasked itself with making a rod that can stand up to the challenge. The goal was to create a rod that could cast 1000g lures with confidence and be able to work them delicately without being overpowered by the immense water resistance. After exhaustive testing, ZENAQ created the SUPER BONKER. The SUPER BONKER is able to load the weight of the lure smoothly and to ensure safe and confident overhead casts. The blank bends deep allowing the weight of the lure to be evenly dispersed, reducing thumb fatigue and the risk for slippage. The blank allows for sharp, precise movements on the lure, even when faced with great water resistance. All unnecessary stiffness was eliminated from the blank which gives the angler incredible control when landing a fish. The SUPER BONKER is a rod created to take you to your dream catch.
