The Vapor Trail takes a lot of its DNA from the Arise family and is tuned for erratic diving, swimming, and bubbling action.
Long sweeps with big pauses make for bubble trails and swimming action.
Short sweeps allow for a faster action with lots of splashes and bubbles.
Fast jerks of the rod and constant wind with get it darting and diving with surface commotion.
The Vapor Trail is heavily tail weighted for two key reasons: to maximize casting distance and to keep the less buoyant section of the lure positioned for easier strikes. Its mass and inertia in the tail help it resist displacement from the pressure wave of an attacking fish, ultimately turning more hits into hookups.
