The Quantum Cabo SWS Spinning Reel is a saltwater-focused spinning reel designed for surf, inshore, and light offshore fishing. It features IPX8-rated SealoQ 8 sealed construction with multiple internal seals to protect against water, salt, and sand intrusion, helping improve durability in harsh marine environments. The reel uses Quantum’s GEARTEQ precision-machined gearing system for smoother retrieves, increased cranking power, and long-term reliability, along with a CFX200 carbon fiber drag system that provides smooth, high-pressure drag performance for fighting larger fish. Its CASTEQ slow oscillation system improves braid line lay for longer casts and fewer wind knots, while the rigid aluminum frame and side plate maintain gear alignment under heavy loads. A lightweight carbon rotor reduces startup inertia and overall weight, and the 6+1 stainless steel bearing system is designed for smooth operation and corrosion resistance. Available in sizes ranging from 2500 to 8000, the Cabo SWS can handle applications from light inshore fishing to heavier offshore use, with drag ratings reaching up to approximately 45 pounds depending on the model. Additional features include EVA power knobs and screw-in aluminum handles for improved grip, leverage, and comfort during extended fights.
